Several other clubs, including Manchester United, Everton, and Turkish team Galatasaray, have also shown interest in Victor, who has made 55 appearances for Botafogo since joining the team in 2024.
Victor has gained attention from many clubs due to his impressive performances in the Club World Cup in the United States and his role in helping Botafogo win Brazil's Serie A and the Copa Libertadores last year.
He was also named in the Team of the Year for both competitions in 2024.
Although West Ham has made the first move, other clubs are likely to join the race for Victor's signature in the coming days.
