Ben Perry, who is 20 years old, has signed a three-year contract with Colchester United.
This is the fourth signing for Colchester United's manager, Danny Cowley, during the summer transfer period.
Ben Perry had previously spent time on loan with Northampton Town last season. He believes that his experience with the team was very valuable.
"I learned a lot during my time with Northampton Town," said Ben Perry. "I played with experienced players and got to know what it's like to be part of a first team. I'm hoping to take this experience and do even better this season."
