Son attended LAFC's 2-1 win over Tigres UANL in the Leagues Cup on Tuesday. He shared his thoughts with reporters, saying, "It's a dream come true to be in LA. The city is amazing."
When asked about his initial hesitation, Son explained, "To be honest, LAFC wasn't my first choice. However, after speaking with John Thorrington, LAFC's co-president, I had a change of heart. He showed me the vision for the team, and now I'm more than happy to be here."
In a statement earlier, Son expressed his enthusiasm for the new challenge. He said, "Los Angeles has a rich history of producing champions, and I'm excited to be a part of it. I'm looking forward to lifting trophies and giving my all for the team, the city, and the fans."
