Despite being valued at £150M by Newcastle, Isak is said to be eager to leave the club and join Liverpool. The striker earns around £130,000 a week at Newcastle, but Liverpool are reportedly offering more than double that amount, as well as a chance to win silverware next season.
Isak has been training alone at Newcastle since being sent home ahead of a match against Celtic earlier this month. He also missed preseason due to a reported "thigh injury". A meeting is scheduled between the two clubs to discuss the transfer, which could happen within the next 48 hours.
Liverpool has already signed Hugo Ekitike, who was meant to be Isak's replacement at Newcastle. However, the Magpies are now set to lose their striker, adding to their disappointing transfer window so far.
