“I don't really watch football,” Nunes explained. “Our daily routine is already filled with football, so I just don't watch it.” He compared his situation to someone who works on computers and wouldn't want to look at them when they're not working.
City is close to securing Champions League qualification and an FA Cup final spot if they win their upcoming match against Nottingham Forest. Nunes reflected on the season and said that City's goals and expectations are higher than what they're currently achieving under manager Pep Guardiola.
“Of course not,” Nunes said. “We know our club's standards are much higher than this. We're not satisfied with our current performance.” He noted that players who have been with the team for a long time are used to winning and competing for the title.
“This is our reality now, and we have to accept it,” Nunes said. “We'll approach every match with the same focus and determination, whether it's a big tournament or a smaller one.”
Nunes emphasized that the team's goal is now to reach the Champions League, and they'll work towards it with the same intensity as they would for any other major competition.
