Emery expressed his satisfaction with the outcome, saying, "It's a fantastic victory. Through the Premier League, we're working towards our objective, which is to play in Europe again."
He highlighted the importance of beating a strong opponent like Fulham, who are nine points behind Villa, and praised his team's performance. "We performed fantastically, even when we were winning 1-0, we had chances to score another goal, but we didn't. We could have had some defensive problems, but we defended well and stayed focused throughout the 90 minutes."
Emery emphasized that despite not being favourites to reach the Champions League, his team can continue to dream of playing in the competition. "We deserved to win and maybe score another goal. I'm very happy because being in Europe is our objective, and our dream is to play in the Champions League again."
He also expressed satisfaction with the clean sheet, which was the seventh for goalkeeper Emi Martinez. "A clean sheet is very important as it brings us closer to winning the match. We achieved it, and it's great for our confidence to feel strong and comfortable defending when our opponents don't create many chances."
